The history of New Brunswick’s outfitters

New Brunswick’s outfitters and guiding services has a long history; it dates back to the 1880`s, providing quality outfitting and guiding services to hunters and anglers from around the world.

Our forests provide habitat for 80,000 white-tailed deer. Approximately 22,000 moose roam here. About 16,000 black bear hibernate through our winter.

You can fish for Atlantic Salmon on the legendary Miramichi and Restigouche Rivers. There are over 19,884 miles of winding rivers and streams and over 3,000 un-crowded lakes here in NB.

New Brunswick also has excellent habitat for waterfowl and upland birds.

Once booked for your trip to hunt with us at Dead Bear Walking Outfitters, we plan on making your experience one of a kind! You will receive top quality guiding services during the week. The advantage of having smaller groups is the time we get to spend with each client. The effort Mike puts into each stand/bait is unreal and I assure that you will be pleased!

Not only will you see black bears in their natural habitat, you may see deer and moose as well. We’ve even had bobcats cross through the paths of the bear baits so you could see just about anything!

The waterways here make for perfect fishing spots. We are very handy to several lakes and rivers. Magaguadavic River is the perfect spot to fish; just step off the porch of the lodge and cast a line. Native brook trout and bass are plentiful in the river.

By the end of your week, we hope that not only you’ve had a fantastic hunting experience but that you’ve had a chance to see New Brunswick`s beauty at its finest!
